Our kitchen is open - and you're invited
Kitchen Open is a brand new concept; a series of one-off food pop-ups hosted at Eat Street HQ in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Each event gives us the freedom to explore a different menu, cuisine or idea. Sometimes it might be inspired by our travels. Sometimes it will put a new spin on familiar favourites. Other times, it will simply be food that Alex really wants to cook.
There are no rules, no permanent menu and no guarantee that the same pop-up will return.
Choose an upcoming event, book your tickets and come hungry.
What is Kitchen Open?
Kitchen Open is our opportunity to throw open the doors to Eat Street HQ and serve the kind of food we love eating.
Expect bold flavours, handmade food and menus designed entirely around the theme of each event. One month might bring Korean-inspired street food; another could be a Middle Eastern sharing feast, an indulgent burger night or something completely unexpected.
Some Kitchen Open events will be relaxed and casual. Others may feature a longer tasting menu or a more intimate dining experience.
The format may change, but the important things won’t: everything will be thoughtfully created, full of flavour and made from scratch by us.
Upcoming Kitchen Open events
What to expect?
Kitchen Open takes place at our Cowes HQ, where guests can experience Eat Street food in the place where our menus are developed and prepared.
Each pop-up is different, so the individual event listing will explain exactly what is included. Depending on the theme, you might be joining us for a multi-course menu, a generous sharing feast or a more relaxed street-food-style evening.
Tickets are limited and must be booked in advance. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Our bar will be open throughout the evening, featuring some of our Island favourites, including Tipsy Wight, Wight Whisky, Isle of Wight Gin Company, Powder Monkey , Goddards and Mermaid Salt Vodka, alongside Sea Change wines and non-alcoholic options with beers from Collider and cocktails from Sip
Made from scratch. Never bland
Kitchen Open might be a new name, but the principles behind it are pure Eat Street.
We make our food properly. Bread, sauces, pickles, marinades and accompaniments are produced in our own kitchen wherever possible. We use Isle of Wight meat and seasonal local ingredients when they suit the menu, combining them with flavours and influences from around the world.
We don’t serve food simply because it is familiar or fashionable. Every dish has to earn its place on the menu — and it has to taste brilliant.
Dietary requirements
Because each Kitchen Open menu is different and food is prepared in a working kitchen, we may not be able to adapt every event for every dietary requirement.
If you or anyone in your party has specific dietary requirements or allergies, please contact us before booking to confirm that the menu can be adapted safely.
Don't miss the next opening
Kitchen Open events will have limited availability and may sell out quickly.
