A Spicy Success: Indian Brunch “Pay What You Want” Event

In January, Eat Street kicked off the new year with a unique and vibrant Indian brunch event, offering guests the chance to indulge in delicious, authentic flavours while paying whatever they felt was fair. Our “Pay What You Want” initiative was not only a celebration of Indian cuisine but also a way to make gourmet dining accessible to all. We were delighted by the incredible turnout and the warm, welcoming atmosphere our guests created.

The menu featured a rich array of traditional Indian dishes, each crafted with care using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Guests enjoyed a tantalizing selection of flavours and spices, with options for every palate.

The Menu: A Journey Through India’s Flavours Our Indian brunch menu was designed to offer a balanced mix of classic and contemporary Indian dishes. Highlights included:

  • Akuri Scrambled Eggs: Creamy, spiced scrambled eggs with a hint of turmeric and fresh herbs, adding a comforting and aromatic start to the meal.
  • Masala Beans: Slow-cooked beans infused with a rich, tangy masala sauce, perfect for a warming bite.
  • Chilli Cheese Naan: Fluffy naan bread filled with gooey cheese and a kick of chilli heat, ideal for dipping into our signature Eat Street Bacon Jam.
  • Crispy Bacon & Bacon Jam: For the bacon lovers, crispy strips of bacon were served alongside our sweet and savoury homemade bacon jam
  • Lamb Keema Pastilles & Chicken Keema: These crispy, golden parcels and rich, spiced minced meat dishes were a highlight, blending Indian and Mediterranean influences.
  • Potato Bhaji Croissants: A creative fusion dish, our flaky croissants were filled with spiced potato and served with fresh coriander chutney, coconut, and peanut for added texture and flavour.
  • Cardamom and Yoghurt Basmati Kheer with a fruity blueberry compote, and Mini Date and Banana Muffins for a sweet finish
  • Ginger and Turmeric Shot: To refresh and rejuvenate, we offered vibrant ginger and turmeric shots, providing a zingy boost with health benefits.

An Atmosphere of Community and Generosity The “Pay What You Want” concept created a relaxed and welcoming environment where everyone could enjoy a good meal without worrying about the price tag. We were truly touched by the generosity of our guests, with many choosing to give beyond expectation, allowing us to not only cover costs but also support future community events.
